At ExtraCare, we are proud to create and manage communities that genuinely extend independence in later life. Our approach to retirement living is distinctive: our locations are large, vibrant, and socially rich environments where residents can thrive. As an organisation we wear many hats: Housing Association, Charity, Care Provider, Asset Manager, Retailer, and Developer, and this breadth makes us multifaceted, highly regulated, but never dull. What unites all of this is our purpose, our passion and our knowledge that we make a real and lasting difference.

Over the next chapter, we will continue to focus on our residents and colleagues, bringing forward new villages, evolving our model in response to changing legislative and commercial environments, and exploring new opportunities aligned with our mission and values.

Twenty years ago, ExtraCare’s leadership set out to introduce something different in retirement living, and they succeeded. We now have the opportunity to build on this valuable legacy and shape the next 20 years.

Our new CEO will play a central role in defining that future. Supported by a strong Executive Leadership Team and an experienced, committed Board of Trustees, the CEO will lead the organisation with clarity and confidence, champion innovation, drive change, and ensure we continue to create exceptional communities for our residents. They will be the face of the charity, building our reputation, strengthening relationships with stakeholders, and raising our visibility across the sector and with local and national government.
